A NEW Welcome Lounge opened in Swanage this week, which has been created to signpost support to help boost people’s health and wellbeing.
The Welcome Lounge officially opened its doors to the public on Tuesday (April 22), operating out of 107 High Street from 10am to 4pm every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The lounge is a warm and friendly space where people can drop in to have a chat and find support to find the wellbeing services that are right for each person.
This includes help for employment, loneliness, mental health issues, housing and more.

The lounge forms part of The Focus Centre – the family hub for Swanage – which offers a wide range of services, from wrap-around childcare, to day services for adults, drug and alcohol support, speech and language therapy and lots more.
A spokesperson said: “Do you want to build connections, find groups and support in the local community that might help you improve your health and wellbeing?
“You can find lots of local support from charities, service providers and social groups in the Wellbeing Swanage Directory, or search our resources page for self help guides, links to further information and self referral guidance.”
