Pedestrian, 14, hit by car in Poole

A 14-YEAR-old pedestrian was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Poole.

A red Renault Clio crashed with a pedestrian at around 8.07pm on Tuesday (September 2) on Wimborne Road, near The New Inn pub.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life changing or life threatening.

PC Rhianna Sly, of Dorset Police’s Roads Policing Team, is appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and may have captured relevant dashcam footage,” she said.
