FIREFIGHTERS came to the aid of a person on a boat in Wareham who needed help.
A crew from Wareham and a technical rescue team from Poole were sent to the river Frome, at Abbot’s Quay, at just after noon on Tuesday afternoon (January 28).
“We were called to the River Frome following reports of a man in a boat needing assistance,” a Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
“Firefighters moved the casualty safely into the care of the ambulance service,” they added.
