Man arrested after altercation at Poole service station

A MAN suffered a minor injury in an incident at a Poole service station.

Police were called to Creekmoor Service Station, in Safety Drive, at around 11.30am on Friday (May 5) to reports of a fight between two men – one of whom was said to have a knife.

During the incident, one of the men – a man in his 40s – sustained a minor injury to his finger. It is also reported that damage was caused to the tyre of the victim’s vehicle, police said.

A 26-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion of assault, possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and criminal damage. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

PC Ryan Jackson, of Poole police, said: “This is a busy petrol station and I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time.

“I would ask anyone who saw what happened to please contact Dorset Police.

“Also, if you were on the forecourt and captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, I am appealing to you to please get in touch.”
