A BUSY route through Corfe Mullen is set to close for 10 days – starting on Monday (January 8) – as roadworks get underway.
Wareham Road will be closed in sections from the Windgreen roundabout to Hanham Road between January 8 and 18 to allow resurfacing work to be carried out.
Dorset Council said the work would see the road closed between 9am and 4pm each weekday. It will be open at other times, and over the weekend.
Pavements will be open for use for pedestrians, they said, but buses will not be able to serve between Hillview roundabout and Lockyer’s Road, instead being diverted from Hillview back to Blandford Road.
Drivers will also be diverted, with full diversion routes available online at www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/travel.
