A TEENAGE passenger in a car was killed in a crash near Wareham last night (February 18).
Police are appealing for information after the single-vehicle incident, in Morden Road, at around 8.42pm.
An 18-year-old passenger in the Volvo V70 which crashed was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, while the 20-year-old driver and another teenage passenger, suffered “serious injuries”.
Road closures were put in place to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
Police Sergeant Josh Alner, of the Dorset Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who very sadly died in this collision.
“We are carrying out a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to please get in touch.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience while the road closure was in place, which enabled us to safely examine the scene.”
