POLICE are trying to identify a man after a man was punched three times in the face in an unprovoked attack in Poole.
A man in his 40s from Bournemouth was walking in the areas of Whitecliff and Baiter Park at around 6.30pm on July 27 when he was confronted by a man he did not know.
The man tried to engage with the victim, but when this was not reciprocated, he became aggravated, and an altercation ensued in which the victim was punched in the face three times.
The man then left the area in the direction of Sherwood Avenue.

The force has issued an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the attack.
PC Niki Edwards, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident, and we are now able to issue an image of a man we would like to identify.
“I urge anyone with knowledge of who he is to please get in touch with us.”
