Man, 73, who died after Christchurch collision will be “greatly missed”

THE FAMILY of a man who died following a collision with a bus in Christchurch have paid tribute to their ‘kind and thoughtful’ loved one.

Richard Parker, from Christchurch, sustained very serious injuries and was taken to hospital after the incident in Somerford Road on December 3 at 8.43am.

He later died on the morning of Saturday, December 6.

In a statement, his family said: “Richard was a kind and thoughtful person. He was a loving brother and uncle and will be greatly missed by us all.”

Officers from the serious collision investigation team are continuing their investigation.

A 36-year-old man from Poole, arrested on suspicion of driving offences following the incident, has been released under investigation.
