Car hit telegraph pole and another vehicle before fleeing, say police

A CAR crashed into a telegraph pole and parked vehicle in Poole in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police are appealing for information after reports at around 3am on November 2 that a vehicle “was seen driving erratically in the area of Conifer Avenue, before it subsequently collided with a parked vehicle in Alton Road”.

It was reported the vehicle – believed to be light blue or purple in colour and may be a Kia Picanto or similar model – failed to stop at the scene.

PC Alice Beavon, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to identify the vehicle involved in this incident and I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation.
