A DRIVER hit pedestrians – then threatened people with a knife – after driving dangerously in Swanage.
Police are appealing for information after an incident which unfolded between 10.15pm and 11pm on Friday, January 30.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said a silver BMW was reported to have been driven dangerously along the High Street and surrounding area in Swanage that night.
“The vehicle collided with pedestrians in the area of the Smoke on the Water bar and restaurant,” they said. “No one was injured but it is alleged the driver subsequently produced a knife and made threats.”
PC Tom Rennie, of Purbeck police, added: “I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and saw what happened or has relevant dashcam footage to please get in touch.
“We believe there was a large number of people in the area at the time and would like to hear from you if you have any information.”
