Arrest after man allegedly exposed himself on Purbeck beach

A MAN allegedly exposed himself and committed an indecent act on a Purbeck beach, police said.

The incident unfolded on Knoll Beach, Studland, at around 1.30pm on Friday afternoon (November 1).

Following enquiries, a 45-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure. He was further arrested in connection with seven other offences in the area dating back to March 2024.

He has been released on police bail as officers continue their investigation.

PC Molly James, of the Dorset Police Volume Crime Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and we have now made an arrest.

“We understand there are likely to have been a number of people in the area at the time of the incident and so I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity to please come forward.

“Furthermore, I would urge anyone who has witnessed similar activity in this area in the past who has not yet spoken to police to please come forward.”
