A MAN was arrested after a family reported being followed on Swanage Beach.
The incident unfolded at around 10.50am on Sunday morning (April 14) – and police are keen to hear from anyone with information.
A man was reported as acting suspiciously and reportedly following a family on Swanage Beach, and loitering around the seafront.
He was described as wearing a bright orange high-vis top, a blue baseball cap and blue jeans.
Officers, following further enquiries, arrested a man from Swanage aged in his 30s on suspicion of a public order offence.
He has been released on police bail as further enquiries are carried out.
PC Josh Hurwood, of Purbeck police, said: “We are carrying out further enquiries into this incident to establish the full circumstances and I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity on the morning of Sunday and witnessed anything suspicious to please contact us.”
