POLICE have confirmed a man has died at The Quay in Poole despite efforts by emergency services.
Dorset Police received a report at 1.24pm on Tuesday (October 22) over welfare concerns of a man in the water at The Quay in Poole.
Officers, joined by an ambulance, the fire service as well as the coastguard and the RNLI rushed to attend, but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.
“The man’s next of kin has been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.
A cordon was put in place to allow emergency services to deal with the incident which was lifted at around 2.45pm.
