Antiques valuation day in Wareham to raise money for charity

PEOPLE will be given the chance to have their potentially valuable antiques appraised at a charity event in Wareham later this month.

Specialist Max Beaumont of Max Beaumont Fine Art & Consultancy in Poole, will be available to provide professional valuations and share his expertise on a wide variety of items, including jewellery, silver, ceramics, paintings, sculpture, and collectables.

Those with larger pieces, such as furniture, are encouraged to bring clear photographs for assessment.

The event, which is raising money for the Wareham Mayor’s chosen charities the Wareham Rangers Youth Team and the Guide & Scouting Movements, is taking place from 10am to 12pm on October 23.

Max said: ““This is a perfect opportunity to discover the true value and history of your antique treasures, while contributing to a very worthwhile cause.

“I always enjoy meeting members of the community and uncovering the fascinating stories behind the items they bring along.”

No appointment is necessary. A cash donation of £5 per item is suggested, with all proceeds being donated in full to the mayor’s selected charities.

A raffle will also be held at the event.
