POLICE are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage after a moped rider aged in his 80s died in a crash in Christchurch.
The single vehicle collision, involving a green Vespa moped, happened yesterday (Sunday, February 1) at around 4.55pm in The Grove.
Sgt Dave Cotterill of the Roads Policing Team said: “Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who very sadly died.
“I am carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the collision, and I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.
“I am also keen to speak with any motorists who were in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
