Man in his 20s is found with stab wound

POLICE have launched an investigation after a man was found with a stab wound in Boscombe.

Dorset Police received a report at 9.42pm yesterday (Thursday, December 18) of a man with injuries in Drummond Road.

The man had sustained a stab wound a short time before in Boscombe Gardens.

The victim – a man aged in his 20s – was taken to hospital for treatment with injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing.

A cordon was put in place at the scene.

Detective Inspector Jon Sainsbury, of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole CID, said: “A full investigation is underway by detectives to establish the full circumstances of what happened and to locate the offender.

“I understand there were a number of people around at the time and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information that may help our enquiries, to please come forward.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area and we would encourage anyone with information or concerns to please speak with an officer.”
