Bikes worth thousands stolen during garage break-in

TWO bikes – worth several thousand pounds – were stolen after a break-in at a garage in Poole.

The burglary, at a home in the Merley area, occurred some time between 7.30pm on Thursday, November 27, and 7.15am the following day.

Bikes stolen were both Orange brand – an orange-coloured electric bike, and a white bike with Roval tyres.

PC Bev Beck, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out detailed enquiries into this burglary and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Merley area on the night of Thursday, November 27, into the morning of Friday, November 28.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have come across bikes matching those described above being offered for sale, either locally or online.”

Officers also issued an image of one of the stolen bikes in the hope it may assist anyone who comes across a similar bike, or is offered one for sale.

Anyone with information about the break-in should contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting reference 55250175184, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
