A MAN who reportedly threated a member of the public with arson after he was allegedly caught deer coursing in Wareham has been arrested.
Police said a man was reportedly seen to set his dog on a deer on Monday evening in the Wareham area, with the deer caught and attacked by the dog.
The scene was witnessed by a member of the public who challenged the man, but they were reportedly met with threats to burn down his property.

The deer reportedly managed to escape the attack.
Dorset Rural Crime Team officers, assisted by officer patrolling in the town, were able to locate the male nearby.
“We arrested the male on suspicion of hunting a wild mammal using a dog and threats to commit arson,” a spokesperson said.
“The male has been interviewed in custody today, and has now been bailed with conditions pending CPS charging advice.”
