A WOMAN who was walking in broad daylight in Poole was subject to an attack last Sunday (August 24).
The victim, a woman in her 30s, was walking along the underpass between Vanguard Road and Serpentine Lane at around 11.30am, when a man she walked past thrust a screwdriver into her hip.
The man placed the screwdriver into his pocked before walking off in the direction of the Holes Bay area.
The woman reportedly did not suffer any injuries.
Police received a third party reports of the attack and officers have now launched an investigation.
The man is described as white, six feet two inches tall and of slim build, with blonde, shoulder-length hair. He was wearing a baseball cap, dark-blue jeans, and a cream-coloured T-shirt.

PC Reuben Wilkinson, of Poole police, said: “We are investigating this incident, and we are keen to hear from any witnesses who saw what happened.
“We are also keen to hear from a woman walking in close proximity to the man at the time the incident took place and would ask her to please come forward should she see this appeal.
“She is described by the victim as white, five feet three inches tall, with dark-coloured hair pulled back in a bun. She was wearing a black vest top and black, cycling-style shorts.
“I would also ask any motorists driving in the area at the time with dashcam fitted to please review their footage to see if they have captured footage of the suspect.”
