A 44-YEAR-OLD man from Weymouth sadly died after his car crashed on a road near Wareham yesterday (August 21).
A blue SEAT Leon crashed on the A352 at East Stoke just before 10.41pm on Thursday night, and the driver died at the scene Dorset Police said.
The road between Wool and East Stoke remains closed to allow specialist officers to examine the scene.
The man’s next of kin has been informed.
Dorset Police is now appealing for any potential witnesses to get in touch to help their investigation.

Sergeant David Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who sadly died in this collision.
“An investigation is underway into this incident and I am appealing for anyone who saw what happened and has not already spoken to police to please come forward.
“Also, I am keen to speak to any motorists who captured dashcam footage of the manner of driving of the vehicle involved or of the moments leading up to the collision to please contact us. You may have vital information to assist our enquiries.
“Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures are in place.”
