CORFE Castle – and dozens of schools – are closed today due to snow in Dorset.

The attraction, run by the National Trust, announced it was closed for the remainder of the day as a Met Office weather warning remains in place for snow.

“Excited to see some snow but means we’ve had to close for the rest of the day on Thursday, November 21,” a spokesperson said.

The news came as dozens of schools in the county were forced to shut amid snow and bad weather.
