Man seriously injured in Corfe Mullen crash

A MAN in his 70s was seriously injured after a crash in Corfe Mullen.

The incident, involving a grey Skoda Fabia and a beige Volkswagen Beetle, happened on Lockyers Road, at the junction with Roman Heights, at around 9.26pm on Monday night (January 22).

The driver of the Skoda, a Corfe Mullen man in his 70s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are believed to be serious but not life-threatening, police said, with his family informed.

The driver of the Beetle, a Poole woman in her 40s, was checked over at the scene by paramedics but was not believed to be seriously hurt.

PC Billy Forster, of East Dorset police, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“I would also like to hear from any motorists with dashcam fitted to their vehicle who were in the area and may have captured relevant footage.”
