Poole man due in court over crash near Weymouth

A POOLE man is due to appear in court over a crash which left a biker with ‘serious injuries’.

The incident happened on the B3157 at Goose Hill, Portesham near Weymouth, at around 11.32am on Sunday, August 14.

Two motorcycles were travelling westbound toward Abbotsbury when the crash occurred, with the rider of one of the motorcycles reportedly failing to stop at the scene.

“The rider of the other motorcycle, a man aged in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.

Now, following an investigation by the force’s traffic unit, a 59-year-old man from Poole has been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 29, for an offence of perverting the course of justice.
