Dorchester Literary Festival

12th October at 12:00 pm - 19th October at 9:00 pm

Dorchester Literary Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and attendees can expect an impressive line up of some of the very best authors in UK fiction.

The festival, which takes place from October 12 – 19 in various locations around the town will see authors introduce their latest novels, including Kate Mosse’ Map of Bones and Our Evenings by Alan Hollinghurst, as well as the new poetry collection from the legendary Pam Ayres.

A festival spokesperson said: “As ever, history and politics are central to the programme, with David Dimbleby on Stalin winning the war, Polly Toynbee on seeing our way out of austerity, James Holland’s Cassino 44 and Anne Somerset’s Queen Victoria and her Prime Ministers.

“We’ll be exploring hard-hitting contemporary issues such as Nusrit Mehtab’s Off the Beat  as well as immersing ourselves in nature and well-being with cloud-spotting, herbal folklore with Christina Hart-Davis, canine adventures with Clare Balding as well as Tom Heap’s Land Smart and Kate Humble comforting Where the Hearth Is.”

Tickets go on sale August 31. For more information visit https://dorchesterliteraryfestival.com/
